At S Stephens we are a Church with a strong liturgical tradition, and part of that rich expression is the prominence given to the Ministry of the Word.

In the reading of Scripture and the proclamation of the Gospel in the Sermon, we open our minds to hear and respond to God, in Christ Jesus.

One thing you will not find at S Stephens at any of our doorways are hooks on which to hang you brains as you come into Church. Our thinking and our intellect are as important in Church as they are in any other part of life. That having been said it is also true that our Sunday worship is not a cerebration (think fest) but a celebration of all that God has given us.
